President

Coach Scott Robinson brings a wealth of experience, passion, and leadership to the field, with almost 20 years of coaching at the youth, high school, and provincial levels. He holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education with a focus on Teaching and Coaching.

Coach Scott Robinson brings a wealth of experience, passion, and leadership to the field, with almost 20 years of coaching at the youth, high school, and provincial levels. He holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education with a focus on Teaching and Coaching.


An accomplished and highly certified coach, Coach Scott is a Certified National Development Coach, Provincial Coach, and Regional Coach, as well as a Certified Learning Facilitator and Coach Evaluator. He was named Baseball Canada’s Grassroots Coach of the Year in 2022 as well

as OBA’s and EOBA’s Coach of the Year in 2024.


Throughout his career, Coach Scott has served in key coaching roles including:

  • Assistant Coach of the Ontario Youth Team (2010-2013,2022)
  • Pitching Coordinator for the Toronto Mets (2017)
  • Pitching Coordinator for the Ontario Yankees (2015-2016)
  • Head Coach for the EOBA Summer Games (2018, 2022)
  • EOBA 13U All-Star Team Head Coach (2014, 2017)
  • EOBA 13U All-Star Team Assistant Coach (2015, 2016)
  •  EOBA 11U All-Star Team (2022, 2023)
  • Whitby Chiefs AAA Coach (2018–2025)
  • Head Coach at Pickering High School (2008–2025)


Coach Scott's teams have achieved tremendous success under his leadership, including:

Known for his player-first coaching philosophy, emphasis on fundamentals, and ability to

develop athletes both on and off the field, Coach Scott continues to be a respected figure in

Canadian baseball. He has coached many athletes who have played in the NCAA or have been

drafted. Here are just a few;

Dan Bowers

Dan Bowers

Director of Baseball Operations

Dan Bowers will serve as the Infield Coordinator for the Durham Stallions beginning in the fall of 2025. Bowers has spent the past 20 years coaching and mentoring student athletes in both Canada and the Unites States.  His coaching career began in 2000 where he served as an Assistant Coach at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO.  

Dan Bowers will serve as the Infield Coordinator for the Durham Stallions beginning in the fall of 2025. Bowers has spent the past 20 years coaching and mentoring student athletes in both Canada and the Unites States.  His coaching career began in 2000 where he served as an Assistant Coach at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO.  


In 2001 Bowers helped lead the Vikings to a Heart of America Athletic Conference and NAIA Region V Championship. The Vikings finished the 2001 season Nationally ranked and finished the season one win short of advancing to the NAIA World Series after falling to Dallas Baptist University in a best of three Super Regional Series. 

 

In 2003, Bowers became the Head Coach at Missouri Valley. In his first season he led the Vikings to a Heart of America Conference post season tournament championship, as well as an NAIA Region V Championship, earning the NAIA Region V Tournament Coach of the Year honours along the way.  For the second time in three years the Vikings finished one win from advancing to the NAIA World Series after falling two games to one to Oklahoma City University in a best of three Super Regional Series.


In 2005 Bowers became the Head Coach of Bacone College in Muskogee, OK.  In his one season at Bacone, Bowers helped lead the Warriors to a Red River Athletic Conference Post Season tournament appearance.

Bowers returned to his roots in Canada in 2006 where he has been actively involved in coaching at various levels even since.  For the past two seasons he has been responsible for infield defensive instruction for the 13U-15U Whitby Canadians teams and was a part of the coaching staff that helped lead the 13U Canadians team to an OBA Eliminations tournament championship, an OBA Provincial Championship and a second place finish earning a silver medal representing Ontario in the Canadian National Championship tournament in 2024.


Bowers has also served in the following roles:


  • Infield instructor with the 18U Ontario Youth team program.
  • Instructor with the Toronto Blue Jays youth development camps in both Canada and Europe.
  • Associate Scout with the Toronto Blue Jays organization.
  • Guest Coach with the Baseball Canada Junior National Team.


During his coaching career, Bowers has had the opportunity to coach more that 40 players who have gone on to play professionally, including 6 who played at the Major League level.


Prior to becoming a coach, Bowers spent 4 years playing at the collegiate level in the United States. He spent two seasons as a middle infielder at Wabash Valley College (NJCAA) in Mt. Carmel, IL before finishing his collegiate career playing two seasons at Missouri Valley College (NAIA) in Marshall, MO.

Bowers currently resides in his hometown of Peterborough with his wife Catherine and son Blake.

Jeff Sharpe

Jeff Sharpe, known to all as Sharpy is a highly respected baseball coach and professional scout with over 30 years of experience developing elite-level talent across Canada. A Level 3 NCCP-certified coach, Jeff has made a lasting impact at every level of the game—from youth baseball to the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL), as well as in professional scouting roles with Major League organizations.

Jeff Sharpe, known to all as Sharpy is a highly respected baseball coach and professional scout with over 30 years of experience developing elite-level talent across Canada. A Level 3 NCCP-certified coach, Jeff has made a lasting impact at every level of the game—from youth baseball to the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL), as well as in professional scouting roles with Major League organizations.


Jeff began his coaching career in the early 1990s, guiding various Rep teams in Ajax and Thornhill from 1993 to 1999. In 1999, he led his 18U Ajax team to an Ontario Eliminations Championship and secured a Bronze Medal at the Canadian Championships. That same year, Jeff joined the Ontario Youth Team as an assistant coach, contributing to a Silver Medal finish at the 1999 Canada Cup and a Bronze in 2000.


From 2004 to 2007, Jeff transitioned to the semi-pro level, serving as Head Coach of the Barrie Baycats in the IBL. During his tenure, he guided the Baycats to a league championship in 2006 and was named IBL Coach of the Year in both 2006 and 2007.


In 2009, Jeff returned to the Ontario Youth Team program as an assistant, helping the squad capture another Canada Cup Bronze Medal. After a break to start a family his dedication to player development continued in 2018 when he coached the Oshawa 15U team at the Canadian Championship. Since 2019, Jeff has played a key role in helping top-tier prospects as a coach with the CPBL Terriers, one of Canada’s premier elite baseball programs.


Always known as a catching and hitting instructor, Jeff has shifted his focus to the mental part of the game saying "This generation of players has completely changed the way I look at coaching and communication.The style I used 25 years ago does not necessarily work with today's player." Jeff has always been a student of the game and attends multiple coaching conventions yearly across Canada and the US.


In addition to his coaching achievements, Jeff brings valuable experience as a professional scout. He worked with the MLB Scouting Bureau (1998–1999), the Toronto Blue Jays (2000–2002), and the Texas Rangers (2003), identifying and evaluating talent across Canada.

Over the course of his career, Jeff Sharpe has helped launch the baseball careers of countless athletes:


  • 7 players have reached Major League Baseball
  • 40+ players have played in Minor League Baseball
  • 100+ players have competed at the NCAA and NAIA college level


Jeff’s commitment to the game, keen eye for talent, and passion for mentorship have made him one of the most respected figures in Canadian amateur baseball.

Sam Cawker

Sam Cawker

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Hailing from Courtice, Ontario, I began my baseball journey with the Oshawa Legionaires, playing through to the 22U level. During my time with the Legionaires, I was part of championship-winning teams, capturing a National title in 2018 and a Provincial title in 2019.

Hailing from Courtice, Ontario, I began my baseball journey with the Oshawa Legionaires, playing through to the 22U level. During my time with the Legionaires, I was part of championship-winning teams, capturing a National title in 2018 and a Provincial title in 2019.

Following my junior career, I advanced to the Intercounty Baseball League, joining the Welland Jackfish. In 2023, I contributed to the team’s successful run to the IBL Championship.

Over the past five years, I have transitioned into coaching, primarily serving as an assistant coach with Durham College Baseball. In addition, I’ve coached at the 16U level within both the PBLO and CPBL circuits. My areas of focus include Strength & Conditioning, Catching, and Hitting, where I aim to help players develop both physically and technically.
